Thu 6 Nov
Noiseworks
Sunshine Coast Function Centre, Caloundra RSL
Standing Concert 18+

Don’t miss this top quality line up of iconic, Aussie made talent. Australian Rock Legends Noiseworks have just announced a series of dates throughout October and November 2008, and this time, fans will have the opportunity to buy their brand new album “Noiseworks - Live and Limited”, featuring selected performances from their sell-out tour of last year.

Renowned for their unforgettable live sets, Noiseworks regrouped in June 2007 after disappearing from the scene in 1992. The initial run of shows sold out quickly, and dozens of gigs were added to the tour schedule.

“Noiseworks – Live and Limited” is just that: a limited edition, live album recorded at Palms at Crown in October 2007. The CD features the band’s entire live set, which includes all the classics plus the unforgettable new track “Let It Go”. Limited quantities will be available exclusively at each gig, and the band will stick around after the shows for signings.

Noiseworks are remembered and respected nation wide for a string of classic hits, including “Take Me Back”, “No Lies” and the anthemic “Touch” – famously performed at the “Reach out to Asia” Tsunami benefit at the Sydney Opera House in 2005. Their continued popularity has prompted further touring and inspired work on new material for a studio album planned for release later in the year.

“The band is better than it has ever been” says front man Jon Stevens, “We’re all enjoying performing together again and while we are, we’ll keep doing this”.

ARIA chart topping rockers Taxiride whose most recent release was “Electrophobia” - an acoustic album of their greatest hits, will also be taking the stage throughout the tour. The boys made a massive impact on the Australian music scene back in 1999, when their debut album “Imaginate” hit #1 on the ARIA chart, achieving double platinum sales. In 2000, having strongly-developed their live show to an international standard, they scored the support slot on Tina Turner’s farewell UK/European tour.

As a special treat for devoted fans, Noiseworks bass player Steve Balbi will showcase his side project Move Trees on this run of dates. Since the band’s formation in 2006, the Sydney-siders have been wowing crowds with their unique brand of melodic rock.
Non-Members will require photo identification to gain access to the venue.
Tickets $40 available at reception now or call 07 5491 1544
