The 2010 Caloundra Music Festival will be held over the weekend of the 8th to 10th October. Beautiful Kings Beach & surrounds will come alive to the sounds of a diverse line-up of entertainment, featuring the best of the Australian music industry, as well as famous international artists.
This event is one of the top music festivals in Queensland and quickly developing a national reputation. Come and join us in October where people of all ages soak up the music and party in the sun by the beach in Caloundra.

As part of their national tour, Powderfinger will headline this years festival held on 8 - 10 October!! Powderfinger’s extensive career spans nearly two decades with sales in excess of 2.5 million albums in Australia alone. Winner of 16 ARIA Awards, the band holds an unprecedented three successive ARIA Awards for Album of the Year. Powderfinger has achieved 6 No. 1 ARIA Album Chart debuts and recently scored 2 entries in the Triple J Hottest 100 of all time (2009) – These Days (#21) and My Happiness (#27). Powderfinger’s 7th studio album, Golden Rule, was released to critical acclaim in November, 2009, debuting at No. 1 and spawning the radio and chart hits, All of the Dreamers and Burn Your Name. The 3rd single from the album, Sail the Widest Stretch, will be serviced to Australian radio today, Friday 9 April.
And in more thrilling news…old friends JET will be joining Powderfinger at the Caloundra Music Festival!
With millions of albums sold worldwide and four Top 10 Modern Rock hits, JET recently returned to form with Shaka Rock, an album that parallels their smash, Get Born, which produced hits like Are You Gonna Be My Girl and Cold Hard Bitch. The new album closes the gap between the raw roots of Get Born and the grace and melody of Shine On (recorded just after the passing of Nic and Chris Cester's father), which together went on to make JET an international band of style and substance. Shaka Rock captures the charisma and energy of classic rock and roll with just enough punk swagger and contemporary flair to create something uniquely JET. Caloundra Music Festival tickets will go on sale 30 April.

Welcome to FESTURI – a multicultural celebration!
2010 is the 11th Anniversary of this annual Sunshine Coast Multicultural Festival. Special events are being planned to acknowledge this special occasion.
The festival includes international food stalls, community information stalls, cultural performances, art exhibition, art and craft, dancing, drumming and more! The festival culminates in a FREE Family Cultural Day at the University of the Sunshine Coast, on Sunday, 24th October 2010.
Activities commence at 10am and conclude by 5pm.

The Noosa Triathlon is one of the most celebrated events in the Southern Hemisphere each October & is steeped in rich history & uniqueness not matched anywhere in the world.
The Noosa Triathlon Multi Sport Festival is Australia's premiere multi sport event incorporating the second largest Olympic distance triathlons in the world. The Festival brings visitors from across the globe to Noosa's sunny shores for action-packed days of sport, entertainment & events.
There's a week-long festival of swimming, cycling, running, triathlon events for everyone from 7 to 70 plus, two golf tournaments (celebrity & corporate), massive expo, corporate/VIP facilities, a Miss & Mr Noosa Model Search plus a serious After Party you'll also need to train for.
Add a whole host of high profile personalities for celebrity spotting & it's little wonder spectator numbers swell to more than 30,000 with a total of 8,500 competitors across all events.
Children are welcome. The Courier Mail Noosa Superkidz Triathlon. A children's triathlon for ages seven to 13. Children are also eligible to enter into The Noosa Journal Breakfast Fun Run, Eyeline Noosa Ocean 1000 Swim and the Cannibal Tour de Noosa Breakfast with the stars.
Disabled: There is access for guests with a disability. Disabled toilets provided. Wheelchair ramps to enter and exit the Noosa Triathlon Lifestyle Expo.

As performed by Greg Doolan, Rob Rosenlund & Tony Jeffrey from Wickety Wak.
During the Legendary Wickety Wak Years, the boys became exceptionally well-known for their send-ups and impersonations of international stars. One of the most requested was Greg, Robbie and Tony's tribute to the Bee Gees.
Their vocals were often confused with being mimed because the sound was so close to the original artists. As the Wickety Wak era comes to an end, the boys have branched out to bring the Bee Gees story to life in an outstanding live concert.
Greg Doolan has produced the show in almost a theatrical approach as they remind us of the days when Bandstand had them singing "My old man's a Dustman" and as the story unfolds tells of all the other artists who they have written for.
Which brings in another classic Wak moment as the guys perform their hilarious Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton send-up of Islands in the Stream written by the Gibb brothers.
Add to the show some outstanding musicians and beautiful Laura Doolan performing the female hits written by the Bee Gees and you will see Greg Doolan, Rob Rosenlund and Tony Jeffrey back in full flight in the auditoriums where they still hold the record for the number of tickets sold in the history of the great showbands.
